Welcome to the crazy world that is Mellywood's Mansion.
I'm Mel, and this is me pretending to be one of Charlie's Angels - yep I'm a dork!
If you're looking for the picture perfect family, this isn't the blog for you, we regularly have moments like this.
I have five children three boys aged 15,13 and almost 2 and two girls 11 and 3.
Some have issues with ageing!
Along with them I also share the house with my husband Jules. He wishes I made awesome hair tie holders
I did try, but - ahh...sometimes crafty ideas don't go to plan........that was supposed to be Abby from Sesame Street.
But if you stick around, sometimes I come up with awesomeness like my Sesame Street Dresser
Or crafty fun like my knitted necklace scarf
Or my Glitter Washer Bracelet
Mostly I believe perfection is overrated and creativity is about learning as you go and I like to ask whether the project has been a delight or a disaster (shhh but I'm a blogger who doesn't care if you say you didn't really like something, strangely I am way more critical than anyone has ever been). Life should be fun and I hope that you leave here a little inspired to have a go at trying things whether it's something I have done or just something you have been too scared to try, but more than that, I hope you leave with a smile on your face.
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo

ReplyDeleteHi, Mel.
ReplyDeleteHad to say "hi". Stumbled upon your blog. Saw your laundry room redo and when I saw the before pictures I said to myself "that looks like an Australian laundry room!!" So I poked around and found your profile and was delighted to see that you are from Melbourne!! My son, daughter in law and three grandchildren live in Oakleigh East.
I, Pam, am writing you from the States.
I have had the priveledge to visit Australia 3 times. Loved the place!! Lord willing I will be back in March.
Really enjoying your blog.
Pam
