Tongue in Cheek Tuesday - Junk in our trunk

Morning all,

Welcome to Tongue in Cheek Tuesday. Since its about junk in our trunk and the only reason we have junk is because we are too lazy busy to deal with it, I though I'd be super efficient and video it for you.

Be warned there is a bit of dead air, I must have had my finger over the mic but I do move it and hey you wouldn't want to miss all my junk.

For more fun visit the other ladies at

Now it's time for you to link up - the party is starting in a different time zone to mine so it might not be available right away.

  1. Mel you are so awesome! I loved hearing your voice and am looking forward to hearing it at my own entry way someday! Jack behind bars..so funny! Loved the ref to Amy's stencil tutorial and I think those pink boots need to be your new trademark! My desk looks almost exactly like yours....on the inside! Thanks for joining in and I think the link goes live in another 6hrs.

  3. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This post made me smile from start to finish. I love your vignette, your pops of color, your filing system. Most of all, I love your accent. You are ADORABLE. And, I got to hear While Wearing Heels being said in an Australian accent...that totally made my day.

  7. Great video, Mel! It's not too often a "voice" matches the images in one's mind, but yours is RIGHT ON! How wonderful!

  12. It's amazing...I mean if you say typical words like"junk" or "crap" or "mess" in an Aussie accent it sounds JUST like "flowers" "perfume" and "rain"...HOW is that possible? Is it just me or is this some video trick?
It's the same reason that "bloody hell" sounds SO much more sophisticated than "WTF"....I am IMMEDIATELY starting to talk in an accent....obviously (based on the video) it won't make me organized and neat but I'll sound better while I'm THINKING about being organized and neat.
    G'Day.....see...I'm starting already!!

So funny, I'm still laughing, you could do stand-up: kids behind bars.. lol, everyone's comments are just spot on that I'm laughing and can't think of more to say, but thanks for sharing your junk and the sun with those of us up here, and your accent is gorgeous!!

  16. Did I ever tell you that I pick up accents without knowing it and people think I'm making fun of them? I'm making my junk sound so much better by discussing it in your voice! I do love your functional desk and it must me wonderful to grab the things you need to start a craft the minute you walk in the door. Will Jack be up for parole any time soon? It was fun "hearing" from you!

  19. Reminds me of when my kids were young right down to the roll top desk. Focusing on the people in the house instead of the impossible job of finding a place for everything was well worth it. Love the handbags by the door!
