Recently I was invited to go and experience shopping at the fantastic Uni Hill Factory Outlet in Bundoora.
Wow what an amazing set of outlets, home to the biggest Nike outlet in Melbourne, one of the things I immediately loved about Uni Hill Factory Outlets in comparison to other factory outlet places I have been to,was that it was so easy to park! I hate driving into the city and more than that I hate paying for parking, that's right folks, free undercover parking!!!
Anyway, eight fellow bloggers and myself met with the gorgeous girls from 360 Immerse for a lovely morning of Fathers Day crafting. Oh yes I said crafting, Uni Hill also has a Kaiser Craft outlet and you know what that means, paper, embellishments and MDF shapes at AWESOME prices (I may have gone straight there after and spent a small fortune, shh don't tell!)
First up we had a speaker from Cosmetics Fragrance Direct discussing new men's fragrance releases, my favorite had to be Versace's Eros, it had kind of a minty smell. You can read more here.
We made tool boxes, the pressure was on as the only craft blogger, sadly I didn't finish but I plan on having it done by Fathers Day! You can get the tutorial over at the Kaisercraft Website here. The crafting workshop was held by Melissa Kennedy who is the creative designer for Kaisercraft so of course she was like a rock star for me. If you're into paper crafts check her blog here.
Then we got to run around the stores with the challenge of putting together gift packs for different types of ads, it truly was a lot of fun, hey when else can you run into stores and just grab whatever you want...of course all items were returned later.
I visited all the sports places, including Nike, Adidas and Puma and there were still about 7 other sports places, I never got to, seriously this is a shoppers dream! Julian LOVES his caps, they have an outlet called CAPZ and that's all it is, pure Fathers Day heaven.
At the end of the day if you're not shopping for Dad, there are so many places to visit, I bet you don't get to every place. So if you're in Melbourne head over to Uni Hill Factory Outlets, you won't be disappointed. See here for trading and address details
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo
What a fun day you had ! Dimitri would be in 7th heaven in any Nike's store :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a blast!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Amy - I had a HUH? moment here lol
Love the tool caddy
XOXO
How fun! I would love a craft outlet and I don't think we have one here. I want to smell that Eros. The tool caddy looks fun...finish it up and post it girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I want to smell the Versace!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds like so much fun! And you got to do it with other bloggers which is awesome.. I've never met another blogger face to face.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to do the gift basket thing. Gifts are one of my favorite things to do :) And I love the tool box! What a great idea for Father's Day!
You keep freaking me out with your holidays being so different from ours. I had a moment of panic thinking I had to go out QUICK and do something for Phil. Whew. no need. =D

sounds like a fun day. I didn't realize even Father's Day would be different. Confused me there for a minute. :)
ReplyDeleteA craft store outlet? I am coming right now! We have a craft supply store called Michaels where you take your first born and trade her or him for goods...lol....just kidding. Quite expensive unless you can buy your stuff with a coupon. I guess we have the dollar stores too but it's very limited on crafting supplies. What a wonderful day out you must have had. Love your tool box and please wish Julian a Happy Fathers Day!
ReplyDeleteThose outlet malls are the bomb, what else can you say? Having all that shopping access in one place, you can't beat it. I've never been to one with a craft store outlet, how fun!! and I'm lovin that tool box, Mel. What a nice day, and away from the computer, no less :)
ReplyDeleteI want to spend a afternoon shopping with you. :) Tell your dad happy father's day wherever in Australia he is, and maybe make Julian something special for dinner...oven roasted bacon, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteWhew, you had me worried that I forgot about Father's Day ... duh, your holidays are different. Sounds like you had a lot of fun :)
ReplyDeleteLucky lady, sounds like a fab day! Can't wait to see your finished tool box. As you slide into Spring, we approach Autumn - which I quite like as my bday is in Autumn ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Estelle xx
For a minute I thought I'd stumbled on a very old post. Our Father's Day is in June. I'd have crumbled under a the pressure of making a man gift while everyone watched!
