The Year of Bloglandia Perfection

Happy Blog day to Mellywood's Mansion!

It's been an entire year of blogging and I have to say I even surprised myself that I kept it up. I'm well known for becoming bored but in blogging I found my true passion - Talking a lot about myself and giving myself a pat on the back almost daily....hmm it's kind of weird really!

Anyway prior to blogging I was a busy working Mum of 5 running around like a headless chook not knowing if I was coming or going. When I stopped working I needed something to occupy myself that had nothing to do with raising children and of course entering the perfect world that is Bloglandia, I changed. So instead of WYPW I thought we could take a serious look at how one woman became perfect and a look in at an average day

First I cheerfully bound out of bed at sunrise

Step into my gorgeously tiled bathroom to wash.

Then dress, putting my best fashion foot forward.

We sit down to a wonderful home cooked breakfast.

Which also includes a bowl of oats.

It's hard to keep busy with such a well organised home, where everything is in it's place and there is a place for everything.

However there is always laundry, and that never causes any issues.

The children stay busy with hand made educational toys.

After sitting down and carefully planning my day's activities.

It's time for me to craft beautiful and useful objects with my own two hands.

When my husband returns from a long and tiring day at work, I like to ensure there is nothing left to annoy or distract him from his relaxation time.

So as you can see I truly fit in with the style and grace expected of me as a resident of Bloglandia.

Happy one year to Mellywood's Mansion, I'm sure the perfection, will continue into the next year.

On a serious note, I would like to thank all of you for coming, reading, commenting, emailing and making my day. I have meet so many wonderful people and (teary moment) I have truly loved getting to know you guys and while there are many I may never see in the flesh, you have become some of my best friends. You guys have been there through good and bad, not just blog related and I truly and sincerely think you guys are the most awesome people on this planet.

Thanks for reading,

Mel xo

  4. Oh Mel! That's just hilarious. You made my day. Happy blogiversary. You know, I'm starting to realise some of my online friends are a hell of a lot nicer than some IRL people I know (even though I've met you in real life). I'm so glad we've met.

  8. Happy anniversary and many, many thanks for setting the bar so high for the rest of us! You do come up in conversation quite often here in Canada. Yes, I get weird looks when I say, "My friend in Australia ..." and they find out we have never met, but I bet we know more about each other than some of our 'in the flesh' friends know. I'm so glad you stuck with it and looking forward to another year of DIY delights and disasters!

  9. Darn you for that last bit. I was laughing along with your post celebrating your blog-aversary and then that last paragraph had me nearly in tears (and I'm feeling extra emotional today). I adore you, your blog and I can't wait to see what the next year brings to you my sweet friend.

  18. What a wonderful post! I love to see it like it is cuz I am sure all households are like yours...mine sure is. In fact, I just finished cleaning up a bottle of soya sauce that came flying out of my cupboard at me while trying to make supper. I should have taken a picture but I was too busy spouting nasties with a mop and broken glass in my hand. Just want to wish you a happy first year. You have certainly made the most of your blog. I enjoy reading your posts everyday! I am lucky to have bloggy friends like you and am looking forward to another wonderful year with you in your Mansion! Congrats Mel :)
