Hey guys,
I've done the iphone cover, the iphone wallet and the ipad covers here and here and today here is the iPod case, this should tell you that I have too many apple product (although if they want to toss me a couple freebies, I'll be gracious in my acceptance)!
Anyway so you'll remember the bag I made for Miss Elizabeth and the sunglasses case, well Santa the generous bloke that he is, decided that she has tried really hard at school this year and sent her the iPod touch she has been coveting for the last couple of years, so it needed a case to match her bag and glasses case. Also Santa didn't want this blogged pre Christmas so as not to ruin the surprise.
Supplies:
Scrap Fabric - This is from Wholeport, it's adorable for tweens
Cheap case (I spent $1 SCORE!!!)
Xyron Sticker Maker - get yours here, you'll love it!!
Craft knife
Grab your scrap piece of fabric, and run it through the sticker maker
Lay it on top of the iPod case
Smooth it over the case making sure there are no wrinkles.
Then using your craft knife cut away the excess , ta-da one matching iPod skin for $1
DIY Delight or Disaster? Oh delight for sure it matches her bag and it cost $1 what's not to love??
Have I mentioned I love my sticker maker? I really do other than my big shot I think it's my favourite crafty gadget!
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo

ReplyDeleteVery cute! I haven't gotten on the apple cart yet, still have an android that I hate. Maybe some day I can play with the big girls! :D
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I am shame to say that my son gave me a Xyron for Xmas and I have not attempted to use it or try it out. Shame, shame, shame on me! Thanks so much for showing me the way. Now I'll have to figure out something to make with it. I do have an iphone and a kindle but they came with covers. OK! I just thought of something.
ReplyDeleteI need a sticker maker! What fun! We have a few i-items as well and I think they need to be embellished asap.
ReplyDeleteJust as cute as the sun glass case, I still love that tweeny fabric, it's so mod! and I want one of those sticker makers along with a big shot !!
ReplyDeleteI want a Xyron machine. These look like the coolest things ever!

Oh Mel! This is just so cute. I'm stopping in from Let's Get Real today to visit your wonderful blog. My daughter would love this for her Ipod. She is 8 and probably more crafty than me so maybe I should just show this to her and let her get to it. I didn't realize my Xyron would work on fabric. That is too cool!
ReplyDeleteSee I'd never know how to do that. This is brilliant! Pinned to my Marvelous Mondays board.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. My daughter would love this. Thanks for sharing your awesome talent with us at Turn It Up Tuesday.
