Craft Room Reveal

Woot it's finally done!! Okay so I'm going to gush a bit because I'm in love with this room, but before i do I have to tell you about a little song. Prior to having this room for myself my craft area used to change positions on a regular basis. This of course meant my stuff could be found in every room of the house, therefore Samuel and Julian used to sing the following ditty:

Craft area, craft area, where will you be today?

Sounds innocent enough but became really annoying, really quick, okay onto the room.

First here's the before shots

And now here's what it looks like! Also here is where I hate myself for not having a decent camera or any type of real photography skills.

I hope you all noticed how I vacuumed the floor for you.

DIY Delight or Disaster? The room took a lot longer than I thought, however I'm glad! I'm glad because I learned that patience results in something you love. There were times where I didn't quite have everything I wanted, rather than make do I waited. There were times where I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I waited and I'm so glad I did. Popping into this room brings me so much joy and this room is a result of all the skills I've learned as well as the patience, something I rarely have.  Delight!

Craft area, craft area, where will you be today?

Here and I really can't believe it's the same room, and that it's all mine!

So, what do you think?

A Recap - The Laundry

Morning All,

So as I explained I have new followers on board and I'm over the Christmas Crafts and I want recap on where I am in the house.

The first room completed was the laundry - I hope you enjoy!

*********************************************************************************

Well my friends I did it, I finished,  presenting The Laundry.

         .

Okay you don't need a special invitation, but I did recieve one, I won't be RSVPing any time soon (I hope)

The depend advertisement here states if your over 35 and have had children, you'll probably be needing these. My kids think this is the most hilarious thing and feel the need to make sure I am aware I fit this description, oh they'll be lucky to make it to their next birthdays at this rate!

Anyhow, the image we've all been waiting for....The Laundry.

Firstly apologies once again for the photos, tiny room issues (and bad photo taker/editor)

I'm loving this, I painted the trim pink, because in this room, no one else cares, and I love pink. Added the curtains (probably should have mopped first)

You may note that I ended up putting a third bracket on the shelf, it started to bow a little in the middle. The light fitting is pink "crystals" it was one of those DIY fitted ones, took all of 5 minutes!

So in short it started like this

Then I painted the stencil on the wall

Made the ABIB

Who can forget my troubles with the Laundry Station

Added Mellywood's Mantra

Horrified you with my But-Ahh cans

Framed my whining iron

Horsed around with my clothes horse organizer

Danced at the Sock Hop

Force fed the kids pasta so I could make these

Added the Pointless Quilt

In spite of all the trial and error, I am so happy with the result. I now have a room I'm happy with and with my laundry loads, it's just as well.

DIY Delight or Disaster? DELIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think?

Can You Tell Me How to Get To Sesame Street - Nursery Reveal

I sure can!

And to the tune of Sesame Street

Sunny days,

Kicking the Ax away

On my way to where the air is sweet

Come and Play, everything is A-Okay

Friendly Faces

That's where we'll meet

Can you tell me how to

How to get to Sesame Street.....

Hey All,

I hope you enjoyed wondering through Sesame Street. This is the first room I have ever truly put together and while there have been plenty of learning curves along with blood, sweat and tears, I am in love with this room. If you are new here and have enjoyed this post, feel free to follow along via GFC, Facebook or Google +. This room is my heart and love, yes it has truly been a labor of love for two little people who were unexpected and are the loves of my life.

DIY Delight or Disaster? DELIGHT!!!!!!! What do you think?

Having said that, I'm 36 and I have spent the last two months obsessed with Sesame Street so I am glad to put this baby to bed - figuratively speaking.

Now it's time to wrestle this one to bed - Literally!
