So I saw these puppets on Pinterest and I was so desperate to make them. My kids LOVE singing Old MacDonald's Farm and I had to make them. The patterns were free from a gorgeous blog Just Another DAy In Paradise, available here.
She sewed hers but seriously I was going to do the whole sewing thing, then I remembered that sewing those tiny bits, who was I kidding! So I decided to hot glue them.
I love how they turned out even if I did totally cheat by using the hot glue.
I did sew button eyes onto the sheep but even that got old so I just glued the rest.
How adorable are these, I think the duck and the dog are my favorites.
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo
I think Old MacDonald is rocking! And hurrah for glue guns. :)
ReplyDeleteThe cow and the pig are my faves. :D
Awesome finger puppets, Mel. You obviously don't make a mess with a glue gun like I do. Give me a sewing machine any day... LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! Very creative. They make me think of Amy at While Wearing Heels because of the felt. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Mel! There's nothing wrong with using hot glue. So, did they have a skit ready and put on a show for you and Jules? Or did they drive you crazy singing Old MacDonald all day long? What a great mom you are!!!
ReplyDeleteRight down my alley Mel! I love using puppets when teaching younger kids. These are adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Mel ! Love the cow ;-)
ReplyDeleteThese are sooo adorable Mel! Poor bunny lost an eye. Did the cat beat him up? lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm pinning this so I remember to make them for the grandkids! They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely adorable. There is no way in the world I would try to sew those tiny things together. I'm not sure my fingers would survive the glue gun, either. You should do a video of the kiddos singing with them.
ReplyDeleteMel these are fantastic! A lot of work and it shows!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out so cute!!! I definitely think glueing was a smarter choice.
ReplyDeleteI think the rabbit and the tiger would be my two favorites, that is, if I had to pick, but whom would ever have to pick a favorite on Old MacDonald's farm? That's where all the animals are just happy to be! I'm sure I'm making no sense, but I happen to think your no-sew method would be fun not just to make for the kids, but with the kids, along with hot-glue-supervision, of course. Love them, Mel, and pinned.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable are these? I love them. They turned out great. I am sure the kids are loving them. And, they are just as cute glued as I am sure they are sewn.
ReplyDeleteLovely work! Love the bunny! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
