Morning All or Afternoon depending on when and where you are reading this.
So I have been a busy little bee on the sewing machine and decided to upcycle the the blanket I thrifted a while back. Wow I loved it so much that I must make it again!
Since the blanket was only $2 I figured even if I ruined it (not being much of a seamstress - at all!) it wouldn't be a huge loss. I used the ZERMATT Bow Swing Jacket pattern from See Kate Sew, available here.
She loved it! She calls it her Princess dressing gown, I guess it is made from fleece and has a tie so I can see where she gets that idea, but I was so happy with the finished results. No buttons, so if you're a beginner seamstress, I feel like such a fake using that word, give it a go.
DIY Delight or Disaster? Delight! I am loving making some clothes, Elizabeth wants me to do something for her, I think I will wait for Summer though, more practise on little items. The fact Madeleine thinks she is a princess also makes me happy.
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo
