Morning All,
Well the boys room is pretty much finished. I will be revealing it soon, but as you know the Mansion is a bit of a cave and with the late Autumn weather getting pictures that dont require night vision goggles is almost impossible.
So I am moving to the next room - The Craft Room.
I have put Elizabeth's room on the back burner because truthfully, the boys room really left me unmotivated and I need a break from doing everything for the kids. So here we go
This room is also quite dark, as you can see it's daylight outside but I needed to put the light on for photos.
This is the back wall, directly opposite that window is the door to our bedroom. This is why we have a perfectly good room that will not be a child's bedroom. You have to go into our room via the craft room
My work area, you already know I have replaced the desk with my Houndstooth Table
Fabric Storage
Quilt Batting, my digital cutter and odds and ends here
The far wall
And the shelf, which of course had a clean up with my Faux Storage Boxes
The lack of decoration and organisation is simply due to just getting it. It originally was my study/home office when I was working, then it became a nursery for the babies, then back to a study and now I have it as a craft room. I am excited about this room because like the Laundry I can go as mad as I like and no one else cares, which I really need after the boys room!!!!!
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo
I would be delighted if you would follow me at any or all of these awesome places, just click on the picture below.
Yay! Thanks for the tour :) You have quite a bit of room, awesome. What are your plans for it? Hahaa I just read your viagra comment and I really did laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteI want to tell you how wonderful your craft room looks. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteMel, this is a great space. Don't you love how rooms transform as our lives transform? How fun to work on something for YOU! I can't wait to see the what you come up with, once finished!!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited!!! something with miniscule hexis I hope. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have so much space, Mel! I envy your craft room! I love how this space has served so different purposes...now back to a great craft room! Thanks for the tour!
ReplyDeleteYou do stuff for your kids? Maybe that's where I went wrong....
ReplyDeleteWell, I'll be sure and pack my night-vision goggles when I come visit. :)
Wish I had a separate room to use as a craftroom,, instead I craft all over the house and outside. Love your "open" window ! Our windows can only open a little bit because of the spanish bars on the outside.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do, I am totally jealous that you have a craft room. I have a craft corner-of-a-room!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Estelle xx
I'm looking forward to this one Mel! I'm kind of jealous that you have a whole room. I say go for it and go mad as you like!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great space Mel! I love seeing craft room makeovers because it tends to be the one space where we can totally be ourselves. You're lucky because you had the laundry room too! You have a fabulous fabric stash. Can't wait to see what you do with your room!
ReplyDeleteYour craft room already looks 1000 times better than my disorganized disaster! Looking forward to seeing your crazy-good makeover. :)
ReplyDeletemy old house had a room attached to my room like that - we used it as a nursery. if we still lived there I think I'd turn it into a craft room! great idea!
ReplyDeleteYour craft room looks much better than mine does!!! I always want to make it cuter, but then I get totally sidetracked with another project and the craft room gets left in the dust! Jenna @ Rain on a Tin Roof
ReplyDeleteAm looking forward to your crazy ideas! You have such an awesome work area for yourself!! You go girl.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see where your creativity takes you...in both the room and what you create within it :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky bum having a whole craft room!!! Cant wait to see how it will look xxx
