TV Console - Mummy Approved!

Hey Guys,

I feel like we've done a heap in our lounge room update and I realised I haven't shared any of it. As is always the case we've had some hits and some misses. First hit was my TV console.

I scored this freebie from my Mum's place, it's my favourite place to shop...always free!

So I dragged it home, chalk painted her up and added some new handles, I'm really loving the iron pulls, which by the way were also free, since they were the ones I took off of the computer cupboard.

I just wish I had of taken pictures before Jule's put the electrics in, the cords are in the wall so no chance of me taking them out for photographic purposes.

DIY Delight or disaster? Given my recent chalk paint fails this one came up great. Side note, Mum was horrified when I told her I was painting it, too late for her it was already here. She came around and looked at it, and said, "Oh I have a chest of draws that needs painting would you do it?". That my friends was just about the highest compliment ever. Mum's place is full of expensive, pray to God the kids don't touch, item. So me painting something for their place, pretty huge!

Then a week later she was out looking for some bedroom furniture and she said they had one painted in the same style (Chalk Paint slightly distressed) and they wanted $1200 for a bedside table. Looked just like what I had done, seriously it takes a lot to impress Mum so this is a Delight!

Thanks for reading,

Mel xo
