My Thrifting Fairy Godmother was with me again this month and she has been kind very, very kind!
First I got this blanket $2 it's polar fleece and I plan on making a jacket for Madeleine out of it, I love polka dots.
Next and I think it's my favourite score, this leather beauty case $4, as soon as I saw it I knew what I was going to use it for, funnily enough my little two had exactly the same idea for it, and I haven't had the heart to take it off them (You can read that as they are so entertained by it, it's not worth the double tanty to take it back!)
Leather suitcase for $5 seriously awesome and I have plans for it so the price was right.
And this, it's a HUGE frame, I have a bit of an experiment I was to try out and I'm willing to risk an thrift store frame for it.
Have you got anything fun lately?
Mel xo
Love the beauty case ! So much you can do with it :-) I'd gone to the charity store the other day, but there was already a couple of people at the door waiting {they only allow about 3 - 4 people in at a time} so, I left because I was in a hurry - nothing for me then :-(
ReplyDeleteThe answer is NO I haven't. Lol! I've been looking but I don't have an eye for those things. But you, on the other hand, can really find some great bargains!
ReplyDeleteThat beauty case is a beauty! Love it! I just found two miniature cafe chair and table sets that remind me of Paris. I have no idea what I'll do with them yet, but I love them anyway.
ReplyDeleteHey...that lighthouse is going to fall into the ocean if you leave it that way... :P

I can't wait to see the jacket you make out of the blanket. That's the cleverest idea. I used a table cloth to cover a window seat and loved it. Great job at the thrift store!
ReplyDeleteThat beauty case is a real score, Mel. I had one in exactly the same style and only gave it away a few years ago, before I got back into sewing. I so wish I'd kept it!!! Maybe the kids will tire of it soon!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing finds! I love the luggage and beauty case. Such great prices. I cannot wait to see what you do with the blanket.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with your goodies. Love the beauty case.
ReplyDeleteOh a mother's sacrifice! Lovely finds, Mel. Who can resist good luggage? It looks like you are going to have some fun upcycling.
ReplyDeleteLovely finds Mel, that polka dot blanket will make a lovely jacket. Looking forward to see what you do with the other pieces.
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
You really scored! I am curious to see what you do with the suitcase. I think I might have one of those in an upstairs closet??
ReplyDeleteYou did get some great finds. I haven't been out shopping for a long time!! You make me miss it. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the little leather case. I'm wondering what you are going to make with that frame and the large suitcase.... hurry!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Mel! I kind of like the pic in that frame!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Mel ! Loving that vintage suitcase and can't wait to see what you do with the polka dots !
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend ♥
That makeup case is AMAZING. Hoping the little ones lose interest in it quick. If it were Grace, it would already be abandoned for something else. You definitely scored big this month :)
ReplyDeleteThe winner is the leather makeup case! You are bigger than the kids and you can make them give it back to you. On the other hand, it's a pretty cheap way to entertain them.
