DIY Iphone Costume

Okay, so picture this, 18 hours before it's needed I suddenly am alerted to the fact that Max needs a costume for daycare.

I have never really done a costume before but I didn't want him to miss out, so I turned to Pinterest and found a few costumes for ipods made out of boxes.

Thinking I was so original I decided to do an iphone one, ummm go google that and see exactly how "original" I was.

It was pretty easy though, grabbed a box and painted it white.

Google images of iphone icons sized them and printed and I used my cutter and vinyl to make the phone screen.

Cut holes for his head and arms.

About and hour later I was done.

He walked into daycare and was met with stares, I choose to believe it was at my awesomeness....but I'm delusional, and he wasn't sure he liked being centre of attention.

DIY Delight or Disaster? Well he had a costume when required so that was a delight, but if you take a good look at it, it's not great, so disaster!

Thanks for reading,

Mel xo

  8. Well, I think it is very clever, definitely not a disaster! And I just want to squish the heck out of little Max. You did a great job, for being Halloween challenged. I mean, we should only expect maybe a sheet with eyes cut out for such a newbie like you, but you embraced the challenge and rocked it. maybe halloween does have a chance in Oz. I'm sending this picture to all the news outlets and candy stores over there. The petition begins. :)

  11. A girl after my own heart with a cardboard box! This is so cute, easy to make and very creative. I have to pin to my Halloween board, it's perfect! Did he keep it on all day, or rather, how long did he allow it to stay put?
