Sometimes I see pins and they stay with me for months, I must make them but never seem to get around to it. This pin here from Mamie Jane's I always seem to see and every single time I saw it I thought I want to do that! Finally I did!
I made mine a little different only because I found different items.
I grabbed a cheap chopping board from The Reject Shop
Some spare corner trim from my every growing molding supplies.
Glued it on.
Spray painted it pink, I loved Mamie Jane's farm house version but sadly for me I don't have a farmhouse style kitchen.
For some inexplicable reason the entire time I was making this I had Oasis's song Roll With It stuck in my head so I cut a little vinyl with the lyrics and funnily enough it suited a kitchen theme, so how could I resist the rolling pin and timer. For the stand I just used an old photo frame hinge and back.
There you have it, an ipad holder for the kitchen, since these days I am way too cheap to buy cook books when I have an internet full of delicious recipes for free!
DIY Delight or disaster, oh I am pretty darn happy with this, I like the fact I can keep the iPad off the bench while I am cooking, Delight and another pin down, whoooot!
Thanks for reading,
Mel xo

ReplyDeleteI love it Mel! I want an iPad...but first I need to move somewhere that has internet! This is such a fun and functional project and the song words made me smile, before I even finished my first cup of coffee this morning! You're awesome!

ReplyDeleteGreat project Mel. Love your choice of verse too. I'll probably be singing that song all day in my head.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love this! I currently do it on my phone which is quite the pain. It always shuts off before I have to to read everything and I constantly have it in my hand. The quotes are great too! Love the rolling pin.

ReplyDeleteWhat did you use in back to make it stand up? Thanks.
