Wooden Christmas Signs

I LOVE Christmas! I love making stuff for Christmas, I love shopping for it, I love all the activities leading up to Christmas. I love the smell of Summer in the air.

The other day when I posted the before shots of my entry a few of you asked what was hiding behind those frames, well here this is it.

I wanted to make something fun for the kids but also from my childhood memories. So I googled some images of my favourite carols and turned them into signs.

I basically followed this tutorial from House of Hepworths.

I did have a little bleeding in spite of mod podging the stencil on but I just took a tiny paint brush and carefully went over the bleeding.

DIY Delight or Disaster? I love these they came out exactly as I hoped they would. At $5 each I am thrilled, Delight! Except after I had taken the photos I noticed Mummy isn't quite level...Santa must be one great kisser!

I'm so excited Christmas is my favourite, favourite, FAVOURITE time of the year!

Thanks for reading,

Mel xo

  4. LOVE these. I'm kind of obsessed with deers lately so the Rudolph one is my favorite. They are so bright and cheery. What a lovely job you did. I am sure they'll put a smile on your face every year you pull them out.

  6. If you hadn't said anything, nobody would have noticed Santa sweeping mummy off her feet! These are adorable. I'm with Amy, love deers!

I love the smell of Summer at Christmas time too and I was ridiculously happy that the Pohutukawa tree is starting to bloom really signalling Christmas!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, between housework and 5 kids, this is the only thing I get out of bed for ;)
